Warrior:

Warriors are the hack and slash characters of Diablo. While they do have access to wizard spells, they are quite weak in this area, concentrating more on hand to hand combat and staying power.

Sorceror:

Sorcerors are the intellectual spell throwing characters of Diablo. They rely on long distance damaging spells to survive in combat. They are quite incompetent at hand to hand fighting and die really easily, but for those with the patience and skill to build a high level sorceror, the rewards outweigh that of other classes. You start out with a 3rd level firebolt and a staff of lightning with six charges, but no armor. With your twenty life, this means that you will have to be careful in combat, managing your resources so that your mana lasts long enough to get you to the next level, where both life and mana get recharged.
